Sms Problem?

Featured Replies

anyone else been experiencing SMS problems UK-Thailand?

over the past 4 days or so I've been receiving SMS from Thailand - although sometimes hours after they've been sent - but when I reply they aren't reaching the recipients.

I called O2 (my UK network) and they said they can't see any problems from this end - with regards to both my 'phone and network. they also said it's likely the problem is at the Thai end and the messages should still send eventually. I checked my bill and I am being charged for the SMS lost in space.

I remembered I heard something about the Thai text system clogging up and iirc an additional digit to be added to Thai numbers soon?...just trying to think of a logical explanation.

I can send and receive as normal within the UK.

any clues?

Some Providers have huge delays .. anyway ..

Systems getting changed to the +8 numbers

the thaimobile must have added the message centre with a 8

DTAC: +66816110400

AIS: +66818310808

and well you also should use the number with a additional 8

+668-oldnumber (without 0 (of course)) ;-)

The delays are happening with SMS's from other countries in the past few days too.

Some sent to me from Oz and Thailand have come through instantly but other have been delayed up to 24 hours or doubled up.

the delays (specialy with AIS) i know well since years ...

friends of me reported sometime days of delays.

but delivery reports comming imideatly (some)
