the culture is not to care about others. listen to loud music in supermarkets, temples, wedding and fairs. they don't care that they are damaging peoples hearing permanatntly

watch the road, if you are not in a car all drivers will drive at you expecting you to give way, rather than making way for pedestrians, they don't care you might get hurt, they only care that they want to drive somewhere

watch as the driver stops in the middle of raod blockking all traffic to visit 7 11 or local breakfast shop for takeaway. they don't care that they are blocking all other traffic and potentially causuing a danger to others, they don't care

watch the news as you realise that officals would rather save face than admit any corruption exists in governermant ,k police, army etc. they don't care about injustices such as locking up innocent people, or people losing life savings to ridicuolo7us liable laws. they just don't care.

I enjoy my life here in Thailand, so not complaining about it, so not leaving, but if you are asking why the place is becoming a rubbish dump? its because they don't care, or perhaps just culturally they don't notice, or don't give a frog .

not so much complaining as an enlightenment, I realise that to fit in you have to do as the locals, so look at this less like a complaint, more like a guidance manual, if in doubt

not really, its more a case of inviting discussion, do you think there is another reason why this goes on? does buddha say its ok to litter cos you won't come back as a plastic bag? is their a logical reason for lack of critical thinking skills seen on roads? lack of concern for others when stopping traffic on roads? multiple incidents of face taking precedence over justice ?

Yes but the fact remains you grand parents or great grand parent where throwing their feces and urine in the streets of whatever utopian farangistan you come from, its only in the last 100 years or so things have changed and why did it change ? Because of disease outbreaks.... not because of some logic or moral conscience

hmmm, so by this logic what is needed is an outbreak of disease and pestilence on Thailand so that litter is picked up, fair enough

i agree i think it will take a outbreak of disease to wake the people up

in the long runif cleanup less thousands in the waiting rooms at hospitals

it payed off in veitnam where they have free medical for people

over the years govt made them to kill flies rats etc and clean up

reward less people sick and in hospital money saved by govt
