Cambodia's tax revenue up 38.5 pct in first half of 2015

PHNOM PENH, July 6 (Xinhua) -- The Cambodia's General Department of Taxation (GDT) reported Monday that it collected 707 million U.S. dollars in taxes during the first six months of this year, up 38.5 percent over the same period last year.



The revenue had been earned from taxes on profits, income taxes, Value Added Taxes, merchandises and services, vehicles, and properties.



"The revenue in the first six months (from January to June) of 2015 was equal to 60.6 percent of the 2015 target," GDT's director- general Kong Vibol said in a press statement.
