Non-O Visas without 400K?

Featured Replies

Is it possible to obtain a Non-O Visa or Marriage Visa without having to have 400,000 Baht in a bank account?

Would appreciate any info.

You can get multi entry.

Up to 90 days each entry

If married to a Thai can also get 60 extension to visit wife

That would get you 150 days.

Then do a boarder run and repeat

You can get a multiple entry non-o visa based upon marriage at the consulate in Savannakhet Laos.

Income formula rather than bank deposit?

I got a non O 12 month multiple entry fron NZ Thai consulate, with dependent son.

Did not require to see funds.

Just birth certificates and passports.

Name of guarantor in Thailand.which was mother in law and my own house address.

Can also get an extra 60 or 90 days if you cross border before last 90 days runs out.

But may be different situation in different countries or borders.

If you mean can you get an extension of stay based on marriage (not a visa) you could meet the financial requirements by getting an affidavit from your embassy verifying that you have at least the equivalent of Baht 40,000 a month in income. You would also need to be in the country on a non-imm O entry.

Have a friend that's just divorced with his wife. He has kids and was wondering if he could do this very same thing based on supporting his kids. He asked me but I couldn't answer him. Anyone ideas anyone?

Remember that a answer is only as good as the question.

Non O visa for married men does not usually require any financial proof if you apply at a Consulate (Savanakhet for example) rather than a Embassy.

Extension of stay every 12 months requires either 400k in bank or an income of an acceptable amount, possibly a combination of the two.
