Clockwork key on a car

Featured Replies

A clockwork key. That's the best way to describe it. That great big plastic? key that you see stuck on the back/side of cars & pickups.

Anyone know where to get one ??

Had to scratch my head for a while to understand that you probably mean this fun things to be "glued" to the rear of cars? (350 Baht).

Sorry I can't help with the question as such.

Many online sources, but no idea about a shop in Pattaya.

Front lobby of Thai watsadu on sukhimvit road jomtien has them.

Just make sure that you get the correct key for your car's make.

Some of the keys will not work with some brands of European cars.

It's a wind up!

I see more and more of these everyday.

What is it all about ?

Many, many years ago a mate had a Fiat 500 (the original with the 2-pot engine) with a plywood key on the back, it actually went round when the ignition was on.

Nothing new in this world :)

How ridiculous are Asian...

No, just humour. I think it's funny in an ironic sort of way.

But one suspects the OP is a middle aged whitey so guess that poo poo's the whole premise of your post

i saw some in Daiso once.. guess they went quick!

Another fad. At least they are not piling soft toys in the rear window anymore.

Just to wind up this post (pun intended), I've been told that they are on sale at Theprasit Market simetimes.

Sounds great - You see them on bikes as well. I assumed their purpose was to give the average Thai something else to distract them from safe driving.

Out of interest, why are you wanting one?

My friend wants one to take back to New Zealand. They might be commonplace here but not over there.

I think most Thai drivers should attach one to their heads and then they could wind their brain up now and again.

A plubers van runs round Perth with a tap on the roof.
