Visa run near rongklua market

Featured Replies

Hi,

I was thinking of doing a visa run near rongklua market Cambodia, can anyone recommend some agent nearby (would it help avoid queuing as we will be with a child).

Also as British passport holders would we get 30 days or 15?

Many thanks + have a great WE.

You don't need an agent. You could use the child to help you thru quicker if there is a q. Thais are usually keen to assist any child.

Border run, out/in, gives you 30 days with British passport.

What type entry do you have now?

If you have a visa exempt entry now you can extend it for 30 days at an immigration office.

Some border crossings require that you spend a night outside the country before u can come in

Happened to a friend recently at the Malaysian border

That was probably at the Sadao crossing. They are the only crossing that is doing that as far as I know.

Lots of agents hanging about the area. They will make you all sorts of offers. Some of them are the 'chanciest' ( is that a word?) looking guys you'll meet.

Do it yourself.

Sadao / Dannol as mentioned. Put 200 Bt in passport and come back any minute.

This is good advice. If with a young child (say 8 years old or less) go to the front of any long queue and request being able to queue jump for humanitarian reasons. The same goes for the very old. One of the things I like about Thailand is that they are genuinely sympathetic to such problems.
