Non Immigrant B Visa & Re-entry Permits

Recommended Posts

I just flew out of Thailand with a Re-Entry permit tagged to my Visa which expires on 6th Oct, along with my work permit which expires on the same date.

I was thinking if it's possible for me to forego my Re-Entry permit and go back to Thailand with a new single entry Non-Immigrant B Visa instead? (the embassy here gives out only single entry visas)

Can I make a new Non-Immigrant B Visa if I already have the Re-entry permit stamped in my passport? If yes, can I go back to Thailand with this new Visa and renew my work permit approximately 2 weeks before it expires?

Thank you.
