PATTAYA:--Disabled groups met in Pattaya to brainstorm ways to make the city more accessible.

City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai chaired the July 3 session at the Redemptorist Vocational School for Persons with Disabilities, with Samrith Charpirom, manager for the Rights for Persons with Disabilities Protection Center.

Government officials, disabled organizations, community volunteers, students, parents and related groups used the meeting to review, improve, and make plans to improve the quality of life for Pattaya’s physically challenged residents through upgrades to the environment and accessibility.

The meeting is part of Pattaya’s continual work to work with disabled networks to develop a plan to promote improvement in quality of life.

Rattanachai noted that Pattaya was the first city in the country to create a policy of promotion and development for the disabled people’s quality of life. Moreover, it continues to fund a budget for disabled programs.

The city is working to improve the landscape and environment to make the city more accessible and convenient for disabled tourists.

Suporndham Mongloksawat, the school’s secretary, lectured on “Economical and Social Effects” and “Master Plan of Driven Practice” at the session.

In the afternoon, participants broke into groups to brainstorm ideas for additional disabled promotion.
