70 year old Australian in drink-related road crash in South Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- A 70 year old Australian was slightly injured in a single-vehicle road crash in South Pattaya on Thursday Night.

Police and medics rushed to the scene and met with the Australian, known only as “Alan”. He appeared intoxicated and was sat on a raised step close to his White Toyota Altis which had sustained significant front-end damage.

Earlier in the night “Alan” had gone with his Thai girlfriend, Khun Wipaporn aged 32, to the nearby Vientiane Restaurant located in Soi 1 off the South Pattaya. The pair entered into an argument during their meal and Khun Wipaporn left before her boyfriend, on a motorbike taxi. 20 minutes after she left, the Australian called her and asked for help as he had crashed his car.

It appears he was about to exit Soi 1 and turn right onto the South Pattaya Road and somehow collided with the raised step in front of the Trinity Home Mart Paint Shop located on the corner.

Oh boy and then even a pic of it on TV forum to rub it in.gigglem.giffacepalm.gif

Is this really newsworthy ?. I am sure there are many more interesting things happening in Pattaya, like the many robberies and ladyboy attacks

But i would rather be him then that guy in Phuket who got his new Camry stolen by some very ugly hookers.

It's in the pattaya One news clippings on TV, Pattaya one don't just report on lady boy attacks or muggings/robberies, they report on all sorts of things......

Bet the Aussie feels a right prat if he sees himself on the news or in the paper...If he was over the drink drive limit then good enough for him and same for whatever fine/penalty he may receive...

He's 70 and was pissed. Not likely to be running very far or fast.

Sure you wouldn't prefer him burnt at the stake?

More brainpower at the age of 70 ? I don't think so. 20 or 70 same same when it comes to drunk driving. They never learn. Mr. Alcohol is too big part of their life.

I'm sure the way he is holding up the wall, he must be thinking he couldn't possibly leave his friend the wall & do a runner...
