I need about 30 6-metre bamboo poles, treated with Borax against termite,boring wasp attack.

I can buy 'green' bamboo poles of this length for about 35 baht each. But is there a supplier in Phuket or southern Thailand who can supply treated bamboo poles?

I would try the place where they built this bamboo salas. They sure have also single poles. The salas are all treated.

It's on Thepkrasattri Rd. coming from Nai Yang before or after Thalang on the left side. You can't miss the bamboo salas.....

Well, I went to visit the shop and had a chat with the Myanmar staff and asked them if the bamboo poles were treated.

'Yes' they said, and showed me a small spray can of Chaindrite......

Ah, not quite the level of treatment that I am looking for

Heya, I'm in Southern Phuket, and trying to source construction grade bamboo. I think it is 'Tre-Gai' bamboo. I would prefer it tasted but I can do it myself too. 

 

Does anyone know where to source, and where we can meet an expert?

I believe they are treated by soaking in the ocean so geographically you are probably in the right place.
