Farangdanny
Three times this week, we have gone to feed the fish and there has been one on the floor by the pond. Two dead but we managed to save the third. There have been fish in this large pond for years and we have not seen this before. Any ideas ?? worgeordie
Here are some reasons the Koi maybe jumping out of the pond. 1} Parasite infection, Flukes,Lice, 2} Spawning activity ,the males chasing the females. 3] something is frightening them,in panic they jump out, I have had Lge heron or egret at my pond. 4} not enough aeration. How far is the water from the top of the pond?, what kind of pond is it? How big are the Koi ? regards Worgeordie

Don Mega
not enough aeration is the reason mine commit suicide, very annoying with the constant power outages.

Obviously not stray cats or heron/ egrets or they would be gone. Approx 30-40 cm in size.In fact we have given up ,drained the pool and put pot plants in. Had a sense of guilt that we were not providing the right environment for them
