Non-b And Work Permit Questions.

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and Girls,

I need to start my NON-B and work permit process.Right now I have a VOA 30day visa. Can I change this to a NON B at immigration in Suan Plu?How much is it to do this?

Secondly,What is the price of the work permit these days?

Sorry,I know these questions have probably been asked and answered a million times but I need a quick, straightforward answer.

Cheers.

Hey,

Have you started working or do you have a job offer? Or will you start your own company? That's the only way you will get a B visa. Ive gotten 3 month b visas from Singapore, vancouver and HK and 1 year visas from New York - with the stack of necessary company documents that is. 1 year B visas are being increasingly difficult to obtain...and who knows with the new visa rules...are they still in effect considering the coup...? :o

I take it you mean a 30 day tourist visa exemption stamp. You cannot change this. You can only change a tourist visa or transit stamp( obtained at a Embassy or Consulate) If you have any non immigrant visa, you do not need to change this visa to obtain a work permit.

850 Baht for 3 months, 1,600 Baht for 6 months and 3,100 Baht for the one year. Professional fees at our firm is 6,500 Baht.

Thanks Sunbelt for the info.

So,it looks like I need to go to Laos to get the NON-B.

The company owner needs to put the company value up 1million to make the 2 million required.......whats the cost to do this with Sunbelt?

Thanks again.

In Laos, in most all cases, one of the documents you will need is a WP3 ( pre clearance of your work permit being approved) If you do obtain this, you can start work legally within 2 days of returning to Thailand.

On the other hand, you can go to KL or Singapore and get the 90 day visa without the WP3 being required. Cambodia as well if you are from Europe or North America and don't look like John Karr.

The company owner needs to put the company value up 1million to make the 2 million required.

If you are married to a Thai, then it can stay at one million Baht. Otherwise, this will need to be raised and our professional fee is 2,900 Baht with the government fee being 5,000 Baht.( per one million Baht)

By the way the increase capital can be cash or non-cash ( equipment or service)
