Next week I obtain non imm o based on retirement. Then in 50 days later apply for 12 month extension in bkk.

During that 50 days I exit Thailand 3 times. Do I get a multiple reentry then a new multiple reentry when I apply for the 12 month extension.

Side issue...will immigration have any concern during the 12 month extension that I exit Thailand very often for say week but often only return for few days.

Thank you for any advice.

You can get a multiple re-entry permit (3800 baht) or a single (1000 baht) to keep the 90 day entry valid.

You will need to get another re-entry permit when you get your extension of stay.

The is no restriction on how many times you can come and go when you have an extension with a valid re-entry permit.

I'm a little confused here. I thought Non-Immigrant O based on retirement was a year long visa. Why are you doing anything at the 50 day mark?

The only non-o visa that would be a valid for a year would a multiple entry visa that allows 90 day entries for year.

He is getting 90 day non-o visa entry that he will then extend for one year by applying for an extension of stay (it is not a visa) based upon retirement.

Thanks for the clarification. :)
