Community help required to collect items to raffle for our fundraiser for Bob

KOH SAMUI: -- 50 year old Bob from the Netherlands was a man who lived a very healthy life, never drinking or smoking. So after 15 years working as a GM in Samui he was horrified to find he needed an operation on his heart. Not long later he was even more horrified to find he had cancer and more recently he has been given the heartbreaking news his cancer is terminal.

Bob has sold everything he has including his home and all of his possessions to fight his cancer and prolong his time so he can enjoy a few more months of the life he so desperately does not want to leave.

The Samui Times and the Bangrak Beach Club have been touched by Bob’s plight and have decided to hold a fund raising event on Friday 21st of August to raise funds for Bob’s treatment and for his everyday living costs such as food and rent.

Bangrak Beach ClubWe are now looking for people to help us with the event that will start at 5pm with a donation box at the entry rather than tickets, 2 for 1 drink’s from 5pm a raffle and an auction.

If you have anything to donate for either the raffle or the auction, can offer entertainment or can help us in any other way we would like to hear from you. Any local businesses who would like to help will enjoy a lot of publicity online for this event.

Bob desperately needs our help and we desperately want to help him. If you can help too please contact [email protected] Thank you.

There is no free health care in the Netherlands. There is a mandatory public health insurance comprising of a part of the premium to be paid by the person and the other part by the employer (which by the way is taxed again as income).

This health insurance is only for Dutch residents. As this guy has obviously been in Thailand for 15+ years, he can't now just show up in holland and expect health care. Even if he could, what would be the point? Better to die between friends on a paradise island than in a hospital in a country where you likely don't know any one.

Not a scammer, well known on the island. Please read the article before making such comments.

Do you or anyone posting here actually know him?

(Just curious-'Once bitten' an' all that smile.png )

I heard his name before, but cant place him in any resort at the moment. Maybe any resort GM can advise. THA or TAKS should know for sure.
