with all the crap involved in trying to get a proper girlfriend a visa to come to the UK

would it be the same if you wanted to bring a ladyboy.

girlfriend or fiance? two different things.

what are the laws on gay marriage in UK? are you getting married?

if your ladyboy wants to go visit she will still need to prove she will leave the UK after the visa expires. Money, house, land, car, job, family in Thailand. Reasons to return.

the same as if she were going alone.

just wondering, does her passport say male or female? i am thinking it says male. interesting to see what UK immigration says.

Indeed.

If applying for a visit visa then there is absolutely no difference between a same sex couple and a male/female couple.

If the OP is asking about settlement, then as Thailand does not recognise civil partnerships or same sex marriage they would have to apply as a fiance or prospective civil partner. Which means an extra FLR application after their marriage or civil partnership in the UK, which must take place within the 6 month life of the initial visa.

However, if the couple marry or register their civil partnership in a country which does allow either of these, then the UK will recognise it as well so they can apply as a spouse or civil partner.
