Matt Black Door Handles

Featured Replies

I'm building a rustic style house and I have to buy 7 door locks.

I have my heart set on Matt Black.

I've been on eBay and the cheapest there are 800bht delivered.

Does antbody know where I could get cheaper tha that.

Or a method of making it cheaper by buying stainless steel, which are half the price and changing the colour..

Or some cheap and cheerful solution for the problem.

There are two exterior doors which I could buy the locks and put something simple od the interior doors.

Latch locks or something.

Any ideas.............

I haven't really scrutinised what door furniture they sell here besides those useless knobs......but lets not talk about Global staff!

First thing in my head is you need something "antique" or "japanned" I take it you know japanning is a general term for black laquering/enamelling.

Other than what the usual big stores sell; I would try and pay a visit to Hafele. There is a big store here in Chiang Mai and i know from their website they do stock black antique door furniture.(though not sure if its a worldwide stock)

I dont know any other ironmogery specialists by name; Incidently Hafele is not cheap and cheerful; its nearer to being the best of the best; and will cost you more than the cost of your door.

Buy stainless and get it powdered coated satin black.

Id theres a Thai watsadu nearby call in , they have a wide range .

they have a wide range of matte black handles ?

Well they have probably 70 or 80 different handle sets how many are matt black didnt count.

Fair enough ? or would you like me to go and count

No need to count.

I will take an educated guess and say they have no matte black handles.

Well thats a help to the OP.

How many ? I dont know , do they have ? Yes .

Rather not guess as you have but report a fact as ive seen them there ,do I need to take a photo for you to except my post as true ?

The OP asking for matte black door handles..... your reply was "Id theres a Thai watsadu nearby call in , they have a wide range."..

How much of that wide range is matte black ?

Maybe you two can go sort your petty squabble out in a corner but not here.

The reason a few of us are mentioning hafele is because the big stores dont stock anything worth using or even looking at.

No doubt the OPs first trip out was to T.W and Global as most people start there for everything.

The reason was some squabble....

Cause anything matte black is rare and it is not offered mainstream ........ we will squabble though whilst you give info to the contrary.
