I have been told, nay assured, by nearby shop owners that it is going to be a gems/jewellery store.

Hard to believe in view of the size of the place.

If I'm right, you heard it here first.

I heard the same thing. That is going to be a lot a gems...lol

To the guys claiming it's going to be a museum according to signs: are you sure you are not just looking at the signs for the Thalang National Museum which is right behind this building site?

I don't believe it's going to be another museum. It's very big on a very expensive plot. It's 27 rais and was for sale for more than 400M THB.

Muimatt , yup the signs state that , find it funny that people dont look at these and listen to gossip instead.

You'd do much better if you listened to the gossip as reading and comprehending signs is obviously not one of your strong points.

It will definitely not be a museum.

Then we shall see , happy to be corrected . Just reading what the sign says.

Not overly concerned either way to be honest.

Id prefer it to be a casino but thats another story.

I'm really sorry to keep this going but, the sign does not say it's going to be a museum.

Time to put this to bed:

There is a sign which includes the words "Thalang National Museum" but it tells you how to get to it: round the corner and down the street.

It's going to be a gem shop.

Over and out!

They are investing heavily on the Chinese market.

The Chinese Stock Exchange recently took a big hit, and with the recent Yuan devaluations, with more to come, Chinese tourist numbers may be down in the future.
