Public museum, or a for profit "museum" which is actually just a tourist trap to extort cash? I haven't been out that way in a few months, so I've no idea. I don't believe it's going to be another museum. It's very big on a very expensive plot. It's 27 rais and was for sale for more than 400M THB. aussieinphuket Posted August 13, 2015 Author Share Posted August 13, 2015 ok if was gem store i read before this was the guy from Bangkok very wealthy who owners Royal Gems, he also owns 2 golf clubs in BKK, Royal Sports and Royal Gems City... could be him but seems enormous to house gems.... anyway time will tell if for Gems manufacturing/retail or a new Museum... It's going to be a gem shop. Over and out! They are investing heavily on the Chinese market. The Chinese Stock Exchange recently took a big hit, and with the recent Yuan devaluations, with more to come, Chinese tourist numbers may be down in the future.
