A suspected bride broker was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly tricking three Cambodian women into marrying men in China, according to a report filed by Phnom Penh police.

Pov Chenda, 38, allegedly promised the women, who were from Kratie province, that they would make 2,000 to 3,000 yuan (about $312-$468) a month working in China.

However, upon their arrival, the women were sent to be married to local Chinese men.
