Re entry permit.

Featured Replies

I have a non O imm visa based on marriage, my 90 days is up on the day I leave for a 3 month work stint in Australia, I still have 9 months of the visa left, will I need to get a re entry permit or on the way back can I just activate another 90 day stay? Thanks for any help. Nev

You visa allows unlimited 90 day entries for a year there is no need to get a re-entry permit. You will get another 90 days when you enter the country.

I thought that mate, thanks a lot saves me wasting money on a not needed re entry permit.

I have a non-O visa based on marriage to a Thai and will be leaving the country for a one month visit to the U.S. I need a re-entry permit or my one year extension gets stamped as "Used" and I would have to start the one year visa process all over. What differentiates the OP's non-O visa from mine? Or, has something changed so that I would not have to get a re-entry permit?

You seem confused about the diffence between a "visa" and an extension of stay .

1.Do you have a one year visa obtained from a Thai embasy or Consulate

or

2. An extension of stay obtained from immigration.

If 2.It is not a visa and you need a re entry permit .

Thanks, Nowretired. I do have the extension from immigration.

You need a re-entry permit if you want to travel. If you don't get one you will loose your extension of stay (it is not a visa).
