fang37
Relocating to Thailand has been a steep learning curve. Initially, I knew that many products were copies but I did not think much about it. Now, it is a matter of who cares. It is cheaper so I'll buy it. Be it computer software, clothing, DVDs, CDs - on it goes. My perception is that piracy is part of life in Thai culture. But, where does it end? Buy some Nautica clothing in USA. Validate its authenticity. There are copyright laws but the practical application is quite complex. Going to court is extremely expensive. Summary - why bother?

CharlieH
Whilst this post is not directly "how to" or "where to" etc it could very easily lead in that direction. Therefore under forum rule:3) You will not post about activities or links to websites containing such material that are illegal in Thailand. This includes but is not limited to: gambling, betting, pornography, illegal drugs, fake goods/clothing, file sharing of pirated material, pyramid schemes, etc. Discussion of the above is permitted only as news items, but never as a "how to" topic. CLOSED.
