PATTAYA: -- A street food vendor in North Pattaya turned her back to a customer for a split second and lost 3,000 Baht, her phone and credit card.

The incident took place on Tuesday afternoon in front of a Condominium Construction Site in North Pattaya behind the Big C Supercenter. Khun Nongluk aged 35 called the Police after the man stole the items and drove off on his motorbike.

The suspect was described as in his thirties and 175cms in height and was recognized by the vendor who had served him on three previous occasions.

The suspect ordered 3 boxes of food and as part of the food preparation process Khun Nongluk turned her back on the customer.

A street vendor had a credit card? ? Given the hoops the banks make for credit aplicants I am surprised. Maybe it was a debit card. Still a loss to the vendor.

Probably a normal debit card connected to her bank account. Must be a big loss for her, 3000 baht must be a week salary for her .
