Suvarnaket immigration open weekend?

Featured Replies

Can I apply business visa in Saturday and pick up Sunday?

No

What government offices are open weekends in your country?

You can always try, but I sincerely doubt you will succeed

There is no Suvarnaket immigration, but a Thai consulate in Savannakhet (Laos);

Definitely closed on weekends and Thai public holidays (at least).

Thai immigrations offices are located in Thailand. Embassies and consulates are located outside Thailand. Neither are open on the weekends or public holidays. Only border or international airport immigrations operate 7 days a week and they do not issue visas.

Also closed on Lao public holidays

Thai consulate in Kota Bahru is open on a Sunday, but closed on Friday and Saturday.

Obviously, Laos isn't a Muslim country so you wouldn't expect it. Just sayin'

Some confusion here. Savannakhet hosts a Thai Consulate-General, but no other Thai government offices. It is open from 8.30am (realistically 9am) to 11am for visa applications during weekdays only, and excluding public holidays, both Thai and Lao.

Pick up, assuming paperwork is correct, is usually next working day at 2pm, though I have no idea whether this applies too to a work visa.
