If u have diplomas from high school and higher education are the minisrtry of education interested in what the marks are or just interested in the fact u have the diploma? This is in reference to applying for university.

I gathered up all my transcripts and diplomas a few years ago as I was close to moving to Thailand for a big change from my engineering jobs and going to teach. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineer, a MS in Applied Math. The conversations I had strongly suggested that the grades and marks were not a big issue. I never made the move and have continued working and just visiting Thailand between contracts. My BS grades sucked as I was smart enough to stay home and get Cs so that is what I got! Sure had fun though while getting my undergraduate degree. Luckily I smartened up and after some Air Force time, and some common sense I went to Grad school and got the grades I could have gotten before. Round everything up, make PDF scan files of everything, put them on a thumb drive, email them to your selves. That way you can get them in any of several ways.

If someone is asking the question about their own grades, you can bet that their own marks/grades are not good. Whether or not a particular Thai institution cares may be the immediate issue but longer term a poor undergraduate degree grade can cripple both career opportunities and self-confidence and it gets worse if the degree is from one of the new unis. What to do? Well assuming that the low grade is more due to 'lack of application' rather than lack of ability the obtaining of a relevant masters can help because nobody anywhere cares what were one's marks at post-grad level except the uni if you are hoping to progress further and attempt to do a PhD. The passing of a masters repairs the damage of a low grade undergraduate degree. So, back to Thailand...other than teaching for a short period to lick one's poor grade wounds, a longer term commitment teaching in Thailand will cement in those poor grades and eat up the time you should have been sorting things out to build a proper career. End result? A lifetime of low pay and missed opportunities. Thailand is the elephant's graveyard for those who do just that.

In reference to the opening post, they want to see that you have the diploma and transcripts in order to meet the basic minimum standards to study for what ever degree you're trying to get from an institution of higher education in Thailand.
