Looking for a small Orthopedic Clinic - Hand specialist in CM

As the title says, I'm looking for a small Orthopedic Clinic - Hand specialist in CM

NOT a LARGE HOSPITAL I know that Chiang Mai Ram has an excellent Ortho department, but in this instance, I need a small clinic.

I'm specifically looking for a hand surgeon to do some minor out-patient surgery.

I've done a search in TV, but haven't seen anything more recent than last year, and many of these clinics close their doors as the doctor's schedules change.

Do you know of a good Ortho clinic in town?

Thanks

OK I am going to answer your question specifically with what you didnt ask for..

Khun Precha who operates weekends is a genius hand ortho surgeon.. Rebuilt my left hand and did my buddies hands after a major bike wreck.. Impressed by his knowledge and ability, how he did an MRI, an in plain language showed me how stresses applied passed through the bones, causing stress fractures, and miss alignment and then how to operate to fix it.. He really knew his stuff !!

I understand hes one of Thailands top hand specialists and is a professor / teacher at Suan Doc ?? Its possible he operates privately weekdays as I have only ever seen him weekends in RAM when I understand he is 'moonlighting'..

I am unsure how much orthopedic care you would find outside of a hospital arrangement here... But personally, for something as complex as hands, with someone as good as that available.. I would see him.

Thanks, LivinLOS. I know Khun Precha's skills, and there is no question that he is the best!

But the problem we need to deal with doesn't require his skills. It's a very routine, 10-minute procedure that can be done by a 1st year resident without fear of screwing up. Basically, a 1/2" snip of the skin, retraction, an 1/8" snip of a tendon sheath, and 3-4 stitches to close the skin. Done. Two forceps and a pair of small Metzenbaum scissors. Were it a more serious matter, I wouldn't hesitate to use the facilities in Chiang Mai Ram, but that is not the case here.

Actually, it's 'almost' that easy... But it's the 'almost' part that keeps me from trying. I have a fairly intensive medical background, but... not... quite... enough... to operate on myself.

Besides, I'm a wus. Probably the only thing that kept me from becoming a junkie back in the day was my fear of needles and pain.

I'll try the clinic you suggested, and thanks for that! :)
