The migrants will probably be allowed to stay in Europe 'forever', therefore, anyone making such offers should let them stay in their house for the same duration. Now it would appear migrants serve the same purpose. I'm not sure whether the 50sq M abode mentioned in the o.p was correct or a typo, either way it's a drop in the ocean, no pun intended.
