New Visa Ruling! !

Featured Replies

Have been very confused with all these Oct 1st visa ruling.

Can anyone advise me for the case of my wife :-

1. I'm on a Non-Imm Visa B and my company is applying work permit for me.

2. My wife, a Malaysian passport holder which travel once a week to Bangkok to stay with me.

3. She will stay in BKK for 6 days : Arrive on Sun and Depart on Fri.

Does this new ruling required her to apply visa for each entry ?

Thks,

Simon

As far as I understand the new rules, there is no limit to the number of entries your wife can make under the visa waiver rules, just the number of days she can remain in Thailand over a 6 month period (90). So you should be ok, at least for a while.

Meantime, once you get your work permit I believe you can use that in order to get a multi-entry non-o visa for your wife which will remove all visa worries for a year or so :o

Sunbelt et al can you confirm the above??
