When you are at the traffic lights near the corner of Canal Road and Chiang Rai 2 Alley (see picture) there is a very strong and beautiful aroma of coffee roasting in the air all around that area.

But I dont know where it’s coming fromsad.png

would anyone happen to know the answer please?w00t.gif

The building on the left, inside chiang mai university, is the roasting facility where they process all the coffee from University plantations. You could buy coffee as well but I believe it is sold for over 400 baht/kg.

I bought it once and it was too burnt and sour for me but some other people might like it.

Oh thanks very much for clearing up that mysterythumbsup.gif

I currently pay 115 baht for 250 g at Hilkoff Coffee in Chang Pheuk so 400 baht doesn't seem outrageous?

Yes I would like to try it and if it was burnt and sour surely it can’t be any worse than the stuff they try to pass for coffee at Starbucks who are known to burn their beans ?bah.gif
