Thai Princess Funds the Construction of Two Technology Institutes in Cambodia

Featured Replies

PHNOM PENH (AKP) – Thai Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, a daughter of King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand, has granted funds to build two institutes of technology in Kampong Thom and Kampong Speu provinces in order to provide technical education and training to poor Cambodian students.

The agreement was signed by the Cambodian Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports and Royal Bodyguard Department of Thailand under the witness of Thai Princess Maha Chakrei Siridhorn and Cambodian Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports Hang Chuon Naron, in Bangkok, Thailand in late September.

The agreement is aimed to enhance the cooperation between the two neighboring countries in the education field by focusing on technical education and training. Cambodian students will be able to take courses from associate to bachelor degrees at the institutes.

As soon as I read the headline I knew it would be the Princess Sirindhorn.

A lady in the news every day for all the right reasons.

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I am always happy to see the Thai Royal family acting nobly, and with compassion. Cambodia needs help.
