If anyone knows his name or how to contact, please PM me I will buy his air ticket home.

Just a couple weeks ago, you outted a farang in Phuket for begging, using his daughter (or some young girl) as a sympathy prop. You put him on ThaiVisa. How did you know his plight wasn't genuine and wanted to warn the world about him?

Now you are Mother Theresa for this random guy, who you've only seen a photo of?

What gives? Or has someone got your TV login and is having fun at your expense?

A guy escorting his young daughter around a nightclub at 12am to beg is despicable and damaging to the girl. It's child abuse plain and simple.

He sounds desperate. How can you shun a little girl who's being abused then? And then be so compassionate toward a random guy in a photo, and make hollow, attention seeking announcement to help him. Is he even from Spain?

You will do nothing in the end. Just like with the desperate man and his daughter.

It is best to do random acts of kindness without seeking publicity, praise or reward.

Ah the od "have a go at the beggar farang brigade" are back.

Don't they realize that ANYONE(including yourself) could fall into despair, mental illness, bad luck, scammed, robbed, alcoholism etc.

Still as they sit on their Pattaya bar stool at midday, it makes them feel superior. just remeber brigade - when you are pointing your finger at someone, where are the other three fingers pointing?

I see this both ways. Taco Hell wants to help, and I applaud that. I've done similarly in the past, and been let down, very badly, so I also see it as Never Sure does.

It's a difficult position for us observers, but I'd have to ask why this guy has found himself in this position, and I'd conclude that he's made some poor decisions.

Maybe he's pulled this stunt previously, and his former friends' goodwill has dried up. He should be seeing his embassy, and they've seen this a thousand times before. His bona fides, or otherwise, will be quickly established. That may be why he's not at his embassy?

What short memories some have. How about that poor English guy seriously ill and stuck hospital? Embassy had been contacted multiple times and wouldn't help even though he'd been at death's door and obviously needed shipping back home but no funds. Big story at the time. Embassy? Pfft. Shit happens some times so enough with the smug 'I've BUPA Platinum and a Forex spreadsheet a mile long' comments. I also agree there are a lot of foreign scammers here. However, the overwhelming majority of them don't beg on the street, they simply rip off other foreigners. Lack of any law enforcement endemic corruption fertile breeding ground for these rapscallions.

Idc doesn't serve people like tesco lotus, if he's been arrested yesterday it might be 3-6 months before he can go out even if the Embassy will buy him a ticket and a lot of them won't...

Sadly very true and people on TV will come out and say serves him right ..

I am sure that it would not be too difficult to contact the Tourist Police at the airport, arrange to transfer the money for a ticket, then job done.

We can all sit here and say we would like to help if possible.

It is possible, even without seeking admiration from people on public forums.

Why do they only arrest farang begging? I see 10 to 20 on all walking streets in Chiang Mai. If begging is against the law then why are the Thai people allowed to do it? Is there two sets of laws in Thailand one for farangs and one for Thai,s?

He should insist on a business class ticket for any undue delay.

another case of a foreigner with no visible means of support no doubt spending all his money on loose women and nothing to fall back on having to resort to begging .

Seems to me not everybody comes here for loose woman as you put ... The person could have been robbed or maybe your talking from experience when it comes down to loose woman .. coffee1.gif

puukao, you bring this type of reaction on yourself. I have seen you use crafty edits to effect alternate pov and I have not sympathy for whatever mess you have contrived here, but i am sure you have sponsored it in some way.

Frankly, i suspect it is just desserts!!

And puukao,

posting pm's in open forum is very bad form even if you delete personal info. Are you thinking the court of public opinion will favor you?

Naive pal just shows your vacuous technique in communication, web 2.0. Nobody likes that stuff.

Go look in the mirror then go and put on the trainers and go for a run. It will help mind and body. Best advice you have been given for a long time.

He certainly made the authorities task of deporting him easy. lol

Does he have a ticket? The Thais wont pay for it and if he's overstayed he'll have to pay a fine as well.

Unfortunately if he overstays he'll probably end up in the slammer unless he has friends or relatives who can assist him.

If anyone knows his name or how to contact, please PM me I will buy his air ticket home.

Looks like some things have not changed in my absence...nobody wasting any time reading the article where it clearly states he was deported and is now plying his "trade" in other neighboring countries.

But a very kind gesture by TacoHell !

Cheers

Have no idea how they do this, i always thought a return tick was a must... Also, why not contact his embassy, friends, family....

A return ticket is usually required, but no always. And, many people overstay their visit and the ticket change fee is either very expensive, or the ticket expires. Most tickets have a must use by date to complete the trip
