Loy Krathong In Bangkok

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've only ever spent Loy Krathong out of town before, where it is a relatively laid back affair. What's it like in Bangkok?

I've just booked 3 months of freedom and am arriving on the 3rd November so am keen to party!

:o

Cheers

LK is a calm but fun festival in the city

I used to hate it in Chiang Mai because it was so dangerous with all the rockets and fireworks shooting down the streets and into crowds of people and would hide in my room for all 3 nights, but the Thais have done a lot to make it safer and now it is pretty enjoyable. :o

And one thing about Chiangmai is that every one of these annual festivals are done to the max in the northern capital :o
