South-Pattaya-Rd. redone :-)

Amazing job in just a couple of days.....They are reaching the market as we speak and will then have laid another layer of black-top on several layers of black-top.

Really pleasant to see that -for now- they have completely covered all these nasty drain and manhole-covers, filled up any other holes they could find. Smooth ride for now. Will the install pumps along the Rd., as on Beach Rd. or actually dig up the drain covers and create even bigger driving hazards? This town never stops to amaze me. But anyway, a speedy job....55555 ... MS>

Speedy as in half arsed? Don't bother to reply, we all know the answer.

they have completely covered all these nasty drain and manhole-covers,

Then later they cut them out, and you will need a caterpillar to be able to use the road, because with a normal car your wheels will enter the bodywork every 20 meter.

Only seem to be doing from 3 road down towards the beach,

Would not surprise me if Friendship is paying for it instead of City Hall

Well after all the part East of the traffic lights was still drivable, but the part they are having a new top layer was a shame for years already, even for a third world country

Wondering what they will do with all the drainage holes..

Black-top already caving in in some places over the underlying iron grills..

If they do nothing, Pattaya Tai will be one huge river during the next rain..

They better hurry up then, because rain forecasts for this afternoon and heavy rains after midnight.

They just layed tarmac on top of what was there, when they did 2nd road they cut up the surface first, can't see this lasting, but they must know best. Could be a disaster for businesses along there if it rains before they sort the drains out

Might clean up all the trash dumped along that road, just wash it all down to the sea. Well until it hits beach road and walking st. Thats going to be worth seeing. clap2.gif
