Fire at Big Jiew’s house



BANGKOK: -- A fire broke out at the three-storey house of ex-premier Gen Chavalit Yongchaiyuth in Nonthaburi early Wednesday forcing him and his wife to run out of their bedroom.

Both the general, commonly known as Big Jiew and his wife Khunying Louise were unhurt but the fire damaged the pray room on the third floor.

Khunying Louise was reported to smell strong smokes at about 1.30 am today and she immediately awakened the general and other members of the family to run out.

Firemen were alerted and immediately rushed to the house with five water trucks.

They doused water to a room on the third floor and were able to keep the fire under control in half an hour.

The room was used as a pray room where the fire was originated.

Forensic police were inspecting the actual cause of the fire today.

I reckon the plea and donation was not adequate for the forgivness of past sins nor good luck for the future. Unless a non adoring individual may have been involved, thus some may say all went as planned.

All those amulets and non of it with a protection against fire magic on it....

What happens to the magic of the amulets when they are burned, does it remain in the ash, or does it boil away. If yes can it condensate, or even distilled and injected into new amulets?

what could actually catch fire in a pray room this is a room which also houses Buddha memorabilia and from the looks of it there doesn't seem to be much room to pray .

Well there goes some of the evidence - up in smoke like a Jewish stock-take and probably insured for 10x the actual value.

Does big jiew mean what I think it means? One lady said he was very experienced!

Cause of fire - 'strong smokes at about 1.30 am'. A sure fire recipe for disaster; they were both as high as kites.

Spirits wouldn't stand a chance in Charlerms house, it would be drunk the minute it arrived.

His presence in the prayer room was too much for the spirits, in the face of so much hypocrisy they decided to to commit suicide and burnt themselves
