Police Chief inspects security checkpoints at Suvarnabhumi Airport

BANGKOK, 16 October 2015 (NNT) - The Commissioner-General of the Royal Thai Police traveled to Suvarnabhumi Airport today to inspect the security checkpoints as part of the recent policy to bolster the country’s security.

Commissioner-Gen Pol Gen Chakthip Chaijinda delivered his policy address to security officials at the airport and inspected the security and immigration procedures of the airport.

Meanwhile, Commissioner of the Immigration Bureau Pol Lt Gen Nathathon Prausoontorn revealed that an average of 80,000 people travel through Suvarnabhumi Airport on a normal day and the number can increase to up to 120,000 on holidays.

He said that the Immigration Bureau places great importance on national security, particularly the issue of transnational crime, and will continue to incorporate new technologies in the inspection process. He also revealed that the airport plans to install biometric scanners to further bolster its security measures and to enhance the credibility of the Immigration Bureau.

Oh goodie did he slap anyone around and start howling " do you know who i am ?"

Must be a slow news day in Thailand in related news the pm visits a paint factory to watch it dry

Also I bumped my knee today. But it'll be ok.

Did he try to board a plane with a gun in his luggage to see if they would subject his luggage to a scan, or just let him pass through as a VIP?

You will have to be moved to an inactive poster until it heals. Can you report back exactly where they are and what inactivity actually takes place.

Lock all the doors, no visitors, then no problems.

His office probably called the airport one week prior to his visit and scheduled the inspection to take place between 10 and 11:3o PM. Accordingly the inspection was conducted by the police chief and six subordinates in full gear, with a visitor pass stating: Access to all areas.

Did he ensure they were quality people

Coz I have had some rude staff contact there... Hope he spoke to everyone to ensure the quality control

Did he try to sneak in by putting 1000 us$ in their pocket?

The only effective " Inspections" of this type are done by informed/trained

under cover agents posing as travelers not a gang of uniformed --

un-informed troops, who announced their visit a week early.LUNCH EVERYBODY !

Did he try to sneak in by putting 1000 us$ in their pocket?

Bet you he got his gun through the security checks ;)
