My apologies for making a separate topic, but I read ThaiVisa several hours every day, and don't think the answers for my specific case are easily found.

My first one-year retirement visa ends in November, and I'll want to renew it. I got the visa based on the statement from the US embassy for my pension.

I moved from Hua Hin to Chiang Mai in June, and gave them my new address in July. Does my file need to be transferred to the CMai office, or would it already be here?

What paperwork will I need in November in Chiang Mai? New medical cert? New embassy pension statement? Can I get it from general consulate in CMai? Since the pension is well over 800K per year, do they want to see more than a regular balance I maintain in a Thai bank, below 100K?

Thanks.

Every application for retirement based extension of stay requires the same paperwork so it should not matter where your file is. You will need the same items you used last time - bank account passbook, bank letter, pension letter, medical (one report this may not be required anymore but no confirmation), TM.7 with 4x6 current photo, 1,900 baht and whatever copies they require.

I would guess the Consulate can notarize so you should be able to obtain form/fill out and pay the 1,200 baht there. Unless there are future changes the 100k balance in account should be fine.
