Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa

The Royal Thai Embassy wished to announce that on 28 July 2015, the Thai Government launched the “Multiple-Entry Tourist Visa (METV)” scheme in addition to the existing sixty (60) days tourist visa. METV will come into effect from 13 November 2015 and a sixty (60) days tourist visa with “double (2)” and “three (3) entries” will no longer be available.

Well it kinda makes sense why over complicate things with too many variations on visa types....i believe the UK does the same with tourist visas.... its a 6 months visa whether you intended visit is 1 week or 1 month

The London Thai Embassy has to date not updated its website in respect of the METV.

The London Thai Embassy issues single entry tourist visas with a validity of three months and 2 & 3 entry tourist visas with a validity of 6 months

And for a Thai person to obtain such a visa they must not only navigate the "hoops" but jump the hurdles ! smile.png

But in UK, they get income support, housing benefit, free school, free healthcare, etc, so it"s make sense to restrict access

I expect the busier embassies like London, Vientiane etc will leave it as long as they can before announcing any changes. If the 2 & 3 entries are going they will likely be overrun with people trying to get them before the METV is launched

yeah right, all 45000 Thai people which 72% are women working in bars restaurants, massage parlors, and sex industry, with basically zero qualifications, first came on a proper working visa... coffee1.gif

Which "proper" working visa did these "zero qualification" Thai people obtain prior to arriving in the UK ?

In the "good old days" many were trafficked and put to work.

Hence the now tough requirements associated with obtaining visas for the UK.

Okay, got the link to work for Australia. There are no conditions apart from paying $225 yet written down with this .pdf document and gives sweet bugger all in information apart from saying this will be able to got 'world wide'.

So what the hell is going on in my home Country? What is missing? Sure no double entries but no restrictions either monetary or needing a job with return tickets?
