Hay all I have a question about getting a work visa

A company I know has asked if I would be interested in working for them but it turns out thy can't give out any more work visas

The question I have is if thy gave me a letter of employment could I not go and get a work visa myself as I'm willing to find the work visa myself apparently thy only have a limited number of visas thy can give out and thy are at there limit!

I would be grateful for any feed back guys if there is anyway around this problem

There is no "work visa"!

Do you mean a Work Permit or a "B" visa?

A company does not "give out" "visas" or WP but they do provide the paperwork required for a visa or WP to be applied for.

I would guess the company has realised they cannot meet the requirements for a WP to be issued.

Thai companies have to employ 4 Thais for every foreigner. So they probably don't have enough Thai employees to be able to apply for another WP.

Unfortunately without a WP you can't legally work for this company.

You need paperwork (documents) from your employer to apply for a work permit. if they cannot provide the documents you cannot get one for that job. Likely they do not want to pay taxes and hope instead to keep you as an illegal employee.....sorry to break it to you but if they valued you they would provide you with the documentation for the Ministry of Labor to get the permit
