Hi

I'm going to Thailand for a short 3 weeks trip in a couple of weeks.

In my passport I've got, since September 2014:

1 exemption with an extension

3 Single entry tourist visa with 2 extensions (I didn't extend the last one)

I've been outside Thailand for 5 months soon.

Should I get a single entry tourist visa for my 3 weeks trip?

Or will it be safe to go for another exemption? (I've got a return ticket, hotel booking and the required amount of baht)

Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend wai.gif

You will have no problem getting a 30 day visa exempt entry.

You will have problem getting a 30 day visa exempt entry.

I suspect you've missed a critical word out here UJ??!

depend of the immigration officer

i dont think you will have a problem, especially if you're flying.

since sept. 14

i have 3 visa exempt stamps

1 single entry visa extended

1 double entry visa extended once

You do not have the profile of someone living/working here and will have no problem getting a visa exempt entry.

Right, to echo the above: no problem entering visa exempt.

Fixed it.

You mention about having the required amount of money? My Ex visits me yearly, she's never been asked anything about money, she flies in.

I might be out of the loop a little bit since I haven't had a reason to research Thai visa since April but back then some borders required you to show 10k/20k baht.

I've was asked to "show money" twice when I went by bus but never when I flew in.

Thanks for the help guys

I have never, in many times of entering, been asked to show any money. I have seen others asked, however. It is up to the discretion of the Immigration Official. They seem more likely to ask certain nationalities, and anyone who looks indigent. I have occasionally not had the cash on me, but hope I would be allowed to go to the ATM if ever necessary.
