Extiension of Stay - How soon before can I apply

I need to apply for an Extension of Stay before the 30th November at Nathon Immigration. How soon before the said date can I apply?

I enter on a (3-entry) tourist visa soon, thus eligible to stay 60 days before a border bounce or extension is necessary.

Obviously I will prefer the 30 day extension.

Can I go to Chiang Mai Immigration a day or three after I arrive, and just get it done, so I can relax and start hunting for airfares 88 days out?

You can apply for a one year extension up to 30 days early.

For a 30 day extension it would be a couple of weeks early.

A Tourist Visa obtained from a Thai Embassy/Consulate allows an entry for 60 days.

You apparently are asking about a visa exempt entry which is not a tourist visa.

You can apply for a 30 day extension of a visa exempt entry.
