PM calls on Min of Education to focus on HR development

BANGKOK, 30 October 2015 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has called on the Ministry of Education to place greater importance on the development of human resources, as part of the country’s new education model.

A meeting was held between the education policy committee and related agencies, attended by the Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister Gen Dapong Ratanasuwan.

Gen Prayut acknowledged the myriad obstacles of education reform and instructed the ministry to make the development of human resources its primary focus for its 2015-16 education policy.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister attended a meeting with the anti-corruption committee to follow up on the progress of implementing short- to long-term corruption suppression policies.

HR development? How does that help a child to stop counting with his fingers and toes while attending Grade 3 school in Nakorn Phanom?

Look at your 'No-fail' policy. There would never be development when children who failed still get to advance into the next level.
