October 30, 201510 yr Wilas wants graft probe of top BMA officialBANGKOK: Democrat Party politician Wilas Chanpitak will next Tuesday ask the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) to investigate a deputy governor of Bangkok - who was not named - for possible graft, he revealed Friday.Earlier this month, Wilas gave a press briefing, accusing the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) of obscure procurement deals. He also noted possibly wrongful reshuffles of BMA officials.Wilas, a former MP, also accused Bangkok Governor MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra of negligence. Despite having acknowledged the matter, the governor chose to go on a working trip to China instead of ordering investigation, he said. October 31, 201510 yr "Despite having acknowledged the matter, the governor chose to go on a working trip to China instead of ordering investigation" Wilas sounds like he has a case of "sour grapes." BMA gives him no respect. Hopefully NACC investigations are triggered by more substantive information such as from whistleblowers or documentary evidence. The NACC should not waste taxpayer funds to respond to vague and heresay allegations of government wrongdoing, especially if it appears to be a case of personal animosity.
