Whoever was riding the motorbike crashed it into the back of a parked pick-up truck.

PHUKET: -- One teen died died instantly and a second was hospitalised when they crashed their motorbike into the back of parked pick-up truck in the early hours of this morning (Nov 13).

Thalang Police were called to an accident on the southbound side of Thepkassattri Rd at 3:30am. It had been reported that one teenager had died and another injured when the motorbike they were on slammed into the back of a parked pick-up truck.

Police and Kusolharm rescue workers arrived at the scene, in front of the Makamdeekwuy Restaurant in Srisoonthon, to find a Toyota D'max pick-up parked at the side of the road with its rear light broken and the right side damaged.

The driver of the pick-up, Anucha Chaymanee, 33, was waiting at the scene.

Not far from the truck was a wrecked red plate Honda MSX. Five metres away from motorbike was the body 17-year-old Natchanon Bunjan. He had suffered a broken left leg and head injuries.

Toyota D-max? Is it a hybrid?

What no stools for the sudden appearance of spectators shame on you Thailand.

Judging by the photos, the truck was parked well off the road, to the left of the motorbike lane so, in my opinion, the owner is in the clear. It's the driver of the motorbike who is to blame. Very unfortunate about the young girl, but her life might have been saved if she had been wearing a proper helmet.

And naturally the parked vehicle owner will be blamed ... and have to pay compensation to the families. But what about blood test for the bike driver ... helmets ??

Sorry for the kid, this is a direct result of an 80 MPH bike and a 5 mile an hour brain controlling it. The law should be if you have no license, insurance or not wearing a crash helmet, it is always the motorcyclist fault as they should not be on the road in the first place.

She died later?
