Police investigate France's 'first female suicide bomber'

PARIS: -- French authorities have released images of Hasna Ait Boulahcen, the woman believed to have blown herself up as police raided a flat in Saint Denis.

An audio recording of the moment thought to be prior to her detonating an explosive belt has also emerged.

Amid the gunfire, a police officer asks, “where is your boyfriend?”

“He’s not my boyfriend,” a female voice replies twice before a loud blast is clearly heard.

Authorities believe Hasna Ait Boulahcen may be a cousin of Abdelhamid Abaaoud.

In Creutzwald, the eastern French town where her father lives and where she visited frequently until a few years ago, people have clear memories of her.

“She used to laugh, she loved live, talked to everybody, neighbours and all, she was extrovert, a bit crazy,” said one woman who did not want to be identified.

“My friends on facebook told me she used to dress European (not Muslim), she wore make up, hung out in clubs,” said another resident.

Hasna Ait Boulahcen is also said to have professed admiration for Hayat Boumeddiene, the missing girlfriend and suspected accomplice of Amedy Coulibaly, the Islamist militant gunman who killed five people during terror attacks in Paris in January.

Why didn't she wait for policemen near her , to blow herself up ? Not a very succesful suicide bomber.

Because knowing that they would not have come nearer, said a French special force's policeman, also he said they will have to learn new techniques to cope with those explosives belts.

In the Stade de France, the suicide bombers blew themselves almost alone in the Street, killing only one unlucky passerby, not very successful either.

She was part of what could be referred to as the extended family of some of the members of this group of terroists. The bleeding hearts are going to have to accept that the entire population of some villages are considered family and as such are expected to follow the same line of thinking, about foreigners, religious issues, and participate and or support for any actions that are planned by the elders/leaders of said village/community.

sounds like she was one of those 'moderates' the apologists are always telling us about

Does she? How so?

Google her up. She was a reported "party animal." Booze drinking, serial "boyfriends." Fun loving girl that the apologists keep telling us on this forum qualifies someone as a moderate muslim.

she did take a police dog with her.

R.I.P. DIESEL.

I thought he was shot. In any case, he is sorely missed much more than the POS'(s) in that flat.

I am guessing it's rather hard to train someone to be a suicide bomber.

They are so brainwashed by the doctrine or fundamentals of Islam that they are probably easy to train... they think the life on the other side is much better than here. Does it remind you of another culture???

Most of the suicide bombers were not really "successful" in collateral damage when they blew their stupid selves up.

ISIS is running out of talented operatives. Said it before , 6 attacks and only 129 dead is a low score. Now the female who had the chance of taking some cops with her , failed miserably.

Easy to train a suicide bomber , if he or she is motivated enough and has the balls courage.

17 stopped in Tunesia for another beach attack. Another useless target. And them they speak of the "mastermind"... more a amateur planner.

No, suicide bombing is not considered to be a moderate act. Thought that would be easy to understand. Apparently not.

Not reading the koran, drinking, western dress, boyfriends, little clues like that. One minute the apologists are telling us the jihadists are extremists and that most Muslims are moderates that have nothing to do with violence, then it turns out some of the jihadists are in fact moderates after all. Point is they are all followers of Islam- which is not moderate at all and never has been.

No, a suicide bomber is not a moderate. What on earth would make you consider a bomber to be moderate. She was also not a religious person so her religion is not the reason she did it. Edited by Linky

I think some posters are totally missing the point of what Jacky54 is saying. Of course she wasn't a moderate, only an extremist would blow themselves up but until that exact point in time she had lived the life of a so-called moderate, so these Jihadis don't have to out an out extremists to create carnage, kill and maim innocents, they could be any follower of Islam.

How do we know she was not forced coned or cohorst into this , and had no control over the detonation of the vest she was wearing, Maybe some one else had their finger on the trigger.

Because then he or she would definately have waited untill the bomb was near as many policemen as posible , for max effect.

As a "terrorist" , isn't law enforcement ,(or the ones that come after you) , a much better target ?

Investigators said that someone blew himself off, thinking at first that it was a woman. But she did not die as a kamikaze. This is actually a man - not yet identified - who blew himself up , according to police sources.

DELETED

It is now known she was not a suicide bomber.

<snip>

It is now known she was not a suicide bomber.

Doesn't sound as though she was a dedicated lover of death.

Witnesses described her screaming 'help me, help me' and 'I'm not his girlfriend' seconds before the device was detonated.

Some members loath the Koran, reject the spiritual aspects of Islam and so on, that's their call, but to claim there is no such entity as non violent 'moderate' Muslims in majority & non majority Muslim countries is nonsense.

There are Muslim sects who reject abrogation in Islam and are subject to severe oppression by Islamist groups.
