The King was born on a Monday so therefore his designated colour is yellow and the reason nearly everyone you see is wearing the colour!

My question is - who decided on the colours for each day of the week and why those colours!?

Cheers

"Color of the day, the famous wearing tradition of Thailand, was descended from Ayuthaya period and still be followed by some people nowadays. People wear 7 colors in a week. The color was originated from the belief of 7 gods who will come protect them."

Well, this website is definitely interesting but to me it's exactly like western horoscopes. There is so much room for interpretation that you can not fail to match the scheme (unlucky day, lucky day, very lucky day etc.).

Don't get me wrong, it's another interesting aspect of the thai culture but it still reminds me a lot... :D:o

One can assume then that the queen was born on a Friday?

Her Majesty Queen Sirikit was born on the 12th of August 1932, which was indeed a Friday.
