Democrat ex-MP to seek probe into Im Boon project

BANGKOK: Former Democrat party-list MP Watchara Phetthong yesterday said he would this week file a petition with the Office of the Auditor-General to investigate the "Im Boon" project for alleged irregularities in budget spending and abuse of an institute's name.

The project was organised by the Senate and the Office of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission to promote virtuous use of technology by youths.

Watchara said he would also ask the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission and National Legislative Assembly president Pornphetch Wichitcholchai to probe this case and proceed with legal actions.
