Hi all, does anyone have any info on road closures in and around Chiang Mai during Yee Peng?

Roads are closed when there are parades. So if you check the Loy Krathong schedule then the days/times that parades are on will have road closures, specifically Thapae Road and around the corner at Thapae Gate.

In addition to that, roads near the river will be impassable in the evening hours.

So if getting into town from anyone's location means crossing the river, then do it on the Superhighway / Aom Muang road, not any of the bridges in town.
