Never been to a Loy krathong festival that didn't have a least one scum swimming around stealing the coins. It always seems to be accepted also. I don't put coins in my krathong.

all on here saying SO WHAT, typical western response. ok we all know it goes on, and has done for years,but it is about RESPECT, this guy was blatantly DISRESPECTFUL to other thais following a tradition.

I can't understand why people find this so disturbing. It's better the money get used by a needing person then go to the bottom of the sea. The fish don't need more pollution.

Catholics are Christians and all the Christian variants originate from the Jewish religion, they amount to the same thing.
