The World Bank has announced it is calling for some 15 billion euros to pay for a “plan”:
http://www.worldfinance.com/home/world-bank-sets-out-16bn-africa-climate-business-plan for Africa to fight climate change.

It includes teaching farmers about efficient techniques and hardier crops, improving water management, reducing coastal erosion, strengthening flood protection, and restoring degraded land.

“It will be an opportunity to move to a growth path which is based on smart agriculture, on climate resilient landscape, on forest management, on coastal zone management and which will support ocean economies,” said World Bank Vice President for Africa Makhtar Diop.

Wetland and forest rejuvenation feature high on the list and the accent is being put on adaption to harsher conditions, as change is now thought inevitable for the more fragile ecosystems.

Paris’s climate summit is now just days away and environmental protesters are trying to raise awareness.

Melbourne kicked off a series of big global marches in major cities that will lead up to and bookend the summit, which starts on Monday and lasts until December 11.

Over the last 50 years untold Billions have been pumped into Africa.

It has been an abject failure.

I say we give our beer money to help Africa to adapt to climate change.

Maybe they need to grow Monsanto GM crops. No, I think the US is already paying for that, poor old Africans.

Wouldn't have thought Africa was a world centre for fostering climate change, a few other big polluting countries actually come to mind. There again if you you can't trust the noble world bank who can you trust?

Only serious birth control in Africa and other 3rd world countries can slow down the climate change.

There is no way out for Africa while it is run by Africans who come through the military or are in power only because they have military backing. Corruption in Africa makes Thai corruption look like small potatoes. Africans do not care about Africa when they leave so why should we? The less we interfere the better.

Let them solve their own problems.

.......<deleted> feeding the starving....

....develop a program....based on faulty science....where we can hold on to most of the money...and call it 'saving the world'...

...the charade continues.....shameless....

...to feed the starving and homeless.....

....and to help those without running water or electricity they would actually have to SPEND some of that money....

Global warming is all about the money anyway.

This is simply the first of many scams that will be forthcoming out of the conference.

What could possibly go wrong with a conference of 190 nations and 40,000 delegates?

World Bank can do it on their own, with all the billions they make in interest each quarter

Translated: We need to sucker some pension fund into buying carbon offset derivatives in order to line the pockets of various banks, dictatorships, and pseudoscience organizations. What a scam...Follow The Money.

Just give Cameron a call. He'll soon find a few more billions of my tax money. Make the millionaire PM (ditto Osborne) feel all warm and fuzzy inside in the run up to Christmas.

Only serious birth control in Africa and other 3rd world countries can slow down the climate change.

They have birth control( people control).

It's called Aids.

They need to educate the male population to use a condom. This would fix both problems !
