When I had a Limited Company in BK four years ago I had to pay my Solicitors 55,000 Baht plus VAT to close it .

Also another 3,500 to the accountants.

Very Expensive , but the only other option is to do a runner...but then you would have trouble if you wanted to start another at a later date.

I cannot comment on the cost of transferring it. Sunbelt would know though

Closing a business is a long and drawn out process. (If you do a search on this you will find the steps involved.) That is why the fees are a pain, it requires several general meetings of the company, a series of newspaper adverts and a couple of audits of the company books. This is why a number of people chose to make the company inactive.

Selling the company shell is less trouble, if you can find a buyer. The risks of taking on unknown debt is what scares people.
