A Decent Hotel In Pantip Area, On A Budget.

Featured Replies

I am looking for a hotel in Bangkok somewhere near Pantip Plaza. I am looking to pay around 1500 Baht per night. I just want somewhere clean and quiet. I have some shopping to do with the wife and don’t want to have to rush around and then drive back home. I have stayed in Bangkok in reasonable hotels before, but never near Pantip. Looking on the internet is fine, but there are so many it is mind bending. Any suggestions?

A friend of mine from Singapore likes to stay at the "First Hotel"... which is a short walk towards Rachathewi / Skytrain from Pantip, and within your budget range. I've never stayed there, so I'm not exactly sure how good it is, but my friend thinks it is great.

A search for this hotel might yield more info.

Try the First House on Soi 19 which is the Soi opposite Pantip. Cheap and very clean and in the middle of it all. Decent cafe downstairs. Not to be confused with The First Hotel which is located on nearby on Petchburi Road which is also decent and cheap. Could not find site but you can check it out here.
