30 day tourist visa fly out and back same day?

Featured Replies

I just did the cambodia run and recieved 15 days, which is 15 days short of what I require. Can I do a quick flight to Singapore return the same day and get a 30 day tourist stamp on arrival? I am Aussie if that makes a difference.

Thanks for any replies.

Yes but there is no need. Towards the end of the 15 days you can go to immigration and get a 30 day extension of stay for 1,900 baht.

Thanks for the reply,

My scenerio is I had a double entry visa, I used the first entry of 60days and then extended for 30 days at Jomtien. I mistimed the second entry thats why I only got the 15 days at Cambodia. Do you think I can still get another 30 day extension at Jomtien? I remember years ago when I first started coming to Thailand, I did a cambodia border run and then went to Jomtien office after and they just gave me 7 days. With all the changes I am not sure what is the current status.

The rules changed last year when they increased the extension available for visa exempt entry from 7 days to 30. So you will have no problem getting an extra 30 days at Jomtien.

Thankyou Gentlemen!! Saved me a trip :)

BigT,

Make sure you have proof of where you are staying when you go to Immigration.

TM 30 has to be filled out for a 30 day extension.
